Monday, I was sick so my husband stayed home to help with Sevren. We started our information on the Solar System by discussing the planets within, and unique characteristics about each one. Sevren amazed us at what he already knew about about most of the planets.
Tuesday, we expanded on the Solar System information by a review of each planet and it's uniqueness, did a star dot-to-dot and a space maze, and then worked on writing numbers. While Sevren enjoys regurgitating knowledge, he is not very excited about physically writing out answers yet. He likes to type instead on his computers. I also introduced him to Phrogram, and we made a pop up window that said messages, and a star. We also used Premium Art Sandbox to look at creating computer games.
Wednesday(today) is the anniversary of the Moon Landing in 1969 (7-20-69) so we talked about the moon landing and what was discovered about the moon at that time: it was dusty and had no wind. We also worked on cutting curved lines, completing patterns, answering questions about the Solar System, and matched pictures. Later on, we are going to discuss counting by 5's and 10's.
