Basil vs. Tomato Project

For Earth Day, we planted a basil seed and a tomato seed (on 4/24/12). I made a chart for Sevren to keep track of which sprouted first, and how fast they each grow.

So, this is week one (5/01/12) and you can see the basil has already sprouted. No sight of the tomato plant yet.  We have hope that it will sprout soon.
My other tomatoes sprouted within a seven days, just like this basil seedling did. We will see.  :)

Update from 5/13/12 our tomato seedling made it to 2 inches, the basil is about 3/4 inches.
